MINUTES OF MEETING

 

 

The meeting  of the New Jersey Department of Transportation Retirees Association, Inc., was held on Tuesday, March 6th  2007 at Roman Hall.  After establishing a quorum was present, the meeting was called to order at 12:15 pm by First Vice President Adrian Lincoln, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Minutes of February’s  meeting were received and approved.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT:

 

The report was received and accepted pending audit. 

 

MEMBERSHIP REPORT:

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

Nominating Committee  - No Report

 

By- Laws   - No Change

 

Website  - Bruce reported there were 56 hits made last month for a total of 5,860 hits from day one.

 

 

Memorial  - Bob Innocenzi presented a proposal for DOTRA to work with EMC to hold a 

Memorial Ceremony dedicating the Engineering and Operations Building to honor the memory of Jack Freidenrich.  A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the proposal.  The proposal was approved by DOTRA’S President and forwarded to EMC’s Chairperson, John Stults, for his concurrence.  The next meeting of the Memorial Committee will be held on March 29th.

 

SOCIALS:

 

Luncheons  - Jim reported 58 people so far have signed up for the Spring Luncheon.  Dot reported (via e-mail) that the Florida Reunion and Luncheon was a great success, with 56 people attending from all over.  Photos are on our Website

 

Adrian reported the June Luncheon will be held at the Cranbury Inn on Wednesday June 6th.  The cost of the Luncheon will be $30.00 per person.  A motion was made, seconded and approved to subsidize the luncheon for $5.00; therefore, cost per person will be $25.00.  They are charging $100 for the room. However, Adrian will try and negotiate that charge.

 

Trips  - Nothing new to report.

 

Picnic  - Phil reported that the Belle Mountain picnic area will be closed for renovations. Therefore, he has made reservations at the Princeton Country Club for September 12th.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  - None

 

NEW BUSINESS:  - Bruce suggested putting e-mail addresses on our website.  Jim said there are a lot of incorrect addresses on our Membership Roster.  Jim to work on updating the Roster.

 

The next meeting will be held on April 3, 2007 at Roman Hall beginning at 11:30 am.

 

There being no further business, a motion was made, seconded and carried to close the meeting; meeting adjourned at 1:30 pm.
