MINUTES OF
MEETING
The meeting of the New Jersey Department of
Transportation Retirees Association, Inc., was held on Tuesday, August 7th, 2007 at Leonardo’s. After establishing a quorum was present,
the meeting was called to order at 12:15 pm by President Chet Andres, followed
by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Minutes of June’s
meeting were received and approved as amended.
TREASURER’S
REPORT:
The report was
received and accepted pending audit.
MEMBERSHIP
REPORT:
No new members were
submitted for membership. Dot
reported receiving ten renewals for the year. She will send out letters within the
next two weeks to new retirees requesting them to join our organization. Sixty to seventy letters are being
sent.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:
Nominating
Committee - Adrian Lincoln has resigned as 1st Vice
President. He will stay on as a
Director. 2nd
Vice President, Jay Johnston, will assume the duties of
1st Vice President. Jim
Dixon, presently serving on the Board of Directors, will assume the duties of
2nd Vice President. All
were unanimously elected.

Website - Bruce reported 6,111 hits, with 99 hits in
the last two months. Our Domain
name will stay the same for the next nine years on the
Website.
Memorial - Jim Dixon reported that the Jack
Freidenrich Proposal is tied up in the legislature, probably about a year or
so. Bob Innocenzi is working behind
the scenes. Also, Meg Frampton
will keep Jim up-dated on its progress.
SOCIALS:
Trips - Jay Johnston has five tickets left for the
Picnic - Dot will mail a list of supplies needed
for the September 12th picnic to Phil Vecere. Thirty-two people have responded so
far. Dot, Bruce, Janis and Sal have
volunteered to do the shopping for the supplies.
OLD BUSINESS: - None
NEW BUSINESS: - None
The next meeting will be held on September
4, 2007 at Leonardo’s beginning at 11:30 am.
There being no further business, a motion
was made, seconded and carried to close the meeting; meeting adjourned at 1:20
pm.
