MINUTES OF MEETING
The meeting
of the New Jersey Department of Transportation Retirees Association,
Inc., was held on Tuesday, September 4th,
2007 at Leonardo’s. After
establishing a quorum was present, the meeting was called to order at 12:05 pm
by First Vice President, Jay Johnston,
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The following were in attendance:

The Minutes of
August’s meeting were received and approved.
TREASURER’S
REPORT:
The report was
received and accepted pending audit.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
No new names were
submitted for membership.
COMMITTEE REPORTS;
Nominating
Committee - No Report
Website - Bruce reported a total of 6,171 hits, with
60 hits last month.
Memorial - Dee reported that the Annual Memorial
Service will be held on September 11th at 11:00 am.
SOCIALS:
Trips - Jay reported that everything is in place
for the Radio City Music Hall Trip, with only three tickets remaining to be
sold. He will be making the deposit to
the Bus Company this week.
Picnic - Janis reported 100+ people have paid, with
three new retirees (free) attending.
Phil to check the
facilities before the picnic date. Janis
will do the shopping for all the needed supplies.
Luncheons - Janis reported that our Christmas Luncheon
will be held on December 5th at the Mountainview Golf Course. She also reported that Chet has put down the
deposit.
OLD BUSINESS: - None
NEW BUSINESS:
Jay asked that we
e-mail or regular mail him any information we may be aware of for the
Chaplain’s Report.
All items for DOTLine
are to be sent to Dot Andres by October 15th.
The next meeting will
be held on October 2nd 2007 at Leonardo’s beginning at 11:30 am.
Jim Dixon made
arrangements with Leonardo’s to hold our meetings there through 2007.
There being no
further business, a motion was made, seconded and carried to close the meeting;
meeting adjourned at 12:30 pm.
