MINUTES OF MEETING
The November meeting of the New Jersey Department of Transportation Retirees Association, Inc., was held on Tuesday, November 6th 2007, at Leonardo’s II. After establishing there was a quorum present, the meeting was called to order at 12:3 5 pm by President Chet Andres, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of October’s meeting were received and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
The Treasurer’s Report was received and
accepted pending audit.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT;
The following names were submitted and
approved for membership:

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Nominating Committee - No Report
By-Laws - At the request of the President, Art Egan
went over the By-Laws to see whether they need any changes. He found misspelled words, etc., but no
significant changes.

Website - Bruce reported a
total of 6,323 hits, with 88 hits last month.
Since NJDOT is no longer mailing the Transporter to retirees, they can
now be viewed on our website.
Memorial - Jim reported that
a Silent Auction will be held on December 6th & 7th
at NJDOT Headquarters. The Jack
Freidenrich Proposal is completed at DOT and is now going to the DAG’s Office
for legal review. It will then go to the
Governor’s Office. He doesn’t anticipate
any problems there, and then it goes to the Legislature with the intent of
having it voted on by January 20, 2008.
SOCIALS:
Trips - Jay to put together a list of three potential trips for
next year, and will pass it out at the Christmas Luncheon.
Picnic - Phil Vecere
agreed to again be in charge of our Annual Picnic. It was suggested and agreed upon to return to
the Belle Mountain Picnic Area next year.
Luncheons - Chet reported
that all is in place for our December 5th Christmas Luncheon Art Egan volunteered to shop for the
prizes.
Joe Bodnar agreed
to again be in charge of our Spring Luncheon.
Adrian Lincoln will again be in charge of our Anniversary Luncheon, with
Art Egan and Jay Johnston helping him out.
OLD BUSINESS: - None
NEW BUSINESS: - The President
reported that he will be unable to attend the next six meetings. Therefore, the First Vice President, Jay
Johnston, will be Acting President for those meetings.
The next meeting
will be held on December 4th 2007 at Leonardo’s II beginning at 11:00 am.
The new starting
time is for December’s meeting only.
There being no
further business, a motion was made, seconded and carried to close the meeting;
meeting adjourned a 1:42 pm.
