MINUTES OF MEETING

The January meeting of the New Jersey Department of Transportation Retirees Association, Inc., was held on Tuesday, January 8^th, 2008, at Leonardo’s II. After establishing a quorum was present, the meeting was called to order at 11:10 am by First Vice President Jay Johnston, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of December’s meeting were received and approved.

TREASURER'S REPORT:

The Treasurer’s Report was received and accepted pending audit.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT:

The following names were submitted and approved for membership:

                                                     Alan Cohen - ? (Life)

Nominating Committee: - No Report

By-Laws - Art submitted the revised By-Laws to Bruce for posting on our Website.

Website - Bruce reported 90 hits for the month, for a total of 6,493 hits.

Memorial - Jim reported the next meeting of the Employee Memorial Committee will be held on Thursday, January 10^th at NJDOT Headquarters. Also, there is nothing new to report on the Jack Freidenrich Proposal.

Trips - No Report

Picnic - Phil to submit two dates (Sept. 11^th & l8th) to Mercer County to hold our Annual September Picnic at Belle Mountain. The date to be selected will be by a lottery.

Luncheons - Adrian reported that our Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 5^th at the Cranbury Inn. Joe reported that our Spring Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 12^th at Tessara’s.

OLD BUSINESS: - Jim made up a list of suggested places to hold our monthly meetings. All in attendance voted from the list of the restaurants he visited, and Tassara’s got the most votes. All were in agreement.

NEW BUSINESS: - A motion was made, seconded and carried to subsidize the Annual Golf Outing in Florida in amount of $150.00. Lou to mail check to Chet. Jay to send Frank Wegel a copy of our Membership Roster.

The next meeting will be held on February 5^th, 2008 at Tassara’s (Route 33, Mercerville)

beginning at 11:00 am.

There being no further business, a motion was made, seconded and carried to close the meeting; meeting adjourned at 11:55 am.
